Wheatgrass is one of the most amazing plants we have ever heard of! It contains protein, all eight essential amino acids, A vitamins and several B vitamins, calcium, iodine, iron and zinc to name just a few. It also helps the immune system. With this in mind it is a great thing to have on hand. We have been putting some in our juice and you can’t even taste it!

 

 

We found a great way grown them in a completely natural planter! No more plastic trays. Find real wicker basket trays making sure they are real (not plastic) and haven’t been treated with any stain or sealer.

The trays can easily be moved outdoors while the weather is good and then be brought inside during the winter. Everyone needs a little more conveniency in their lives right?

 

 

The process is very simple: soak red wheat in water overnight. Put down a really thin layer of dirt in the bottom of your wicker tray. Spread wheat berries down then another very thin layer of dirt and some wood chips. Keep the wheat berries moist and they will grow up quick! When it grows to about and inch and a half cut as much as you need whenever you need it.
