Power outages are hard, especially for young children. It can be a real challenge to calm them down and help them sleep. This is one reason that we really like these Solar Night Lights. They are very inexpensive, easy as can be, and require no battery power. You may even decide you want one in every room to keep safe if you have to walk around at night.

All they require is a solar yard light and a clear cup. For a child’s room you may like to use a clear unbreakable glass. We prefer a glass mug with a handle for extra portability.

Remove the pole on the light that would be inserted into the ground. Place the light in the cup and set in a sunny window. Done! Super easy right?

Very cool! We don’t get too many power outages around here, but these would definitely be helpful if we did!
