Sugar Scrub. This feels so good on your hands after working in the yard!

We have found when we work out in the garden a lot our hands get really rough and dry. To remedy this we whipped up this helpful hand scrub. Our hands feel fantastic after we use it! You can use any essential oils that you like we chose Ageless because of the helpful benefits to the skin.

Hand Softening Sugar Scrub

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbs. infused oil
  • ¼ cup Real Salt or sea salt
  • ¼ cup organic sugar
  • 8-10 drops vitamin E
  • 1 Tbs. jojoba oil
  • 5 drops Ageless essential oil (or oil of your choice. Just be careful to avoid citrus if you are going back out into the sun soon)

Directions

To Make an Infused Oil

Put dried herbs of choice in a glass jar (If using fresh herbs spread out on a paper towel or cloth and allow to air dry for 2-3 days). Pour in enough olive or almond oil to cover herbs completely. Cover with lid and shake. Let sit in a warm, sunny spot for 4-6 weeks (You can use it in as little as 2 weeks if needed). Strain herbs from oil and store oil in an airtight jar. Discard herbs.
We like to use Dandelion, Plantain, Calendula or St. Johns Wort. You can use any combination or herb of your choice.
If you don’t use right away store in the refrigerator.

To Make Scrub

Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and stir well.
To use scoop out about a teaspoon and rub all over hands focusing on the driest spots. Rinse hands in warm water.
If you don’t use right away store in the refrigerator.
