We have a friend who is an avid athlete. He participates in Ragnar and has run the Boston marathon. Quite naturally he gets sore muscles from time to time and needs a way to relax them. His chiropractor told him about a fantastic and cheap (though unusual) way to do this.
A car buffer/waxer! We found ours for about $25.00. It can be used standing, sitting or while laying down. Put the cotton pad on the disk and have someone turn it on, running it over anywhere you feel sore. Back, calves, thighs, buttocks, arms, shoulders and neck. I wouldn’t suggest doing it on your head though as it can vibrate pretty hard. A few minutes is all you need and according to our friend’s Chiropractor it releases all of the lactic acid that builds up in your muscles from stress and exercise.
Our Chiropractor has a tool that has the same vibrating traits and relaxing effects and it cost them around $400.00! We like our car buffer just as much (probably better because of the cost haha).
Give it a try and let us know what you think! What are your favorite tricks to relax? Do you have some anti-stress technics you would like to share?
