We are getting all excited for the big day tomorrow! On March 6th 2015 we will start our 30 day Word of Wisdom health challenge! (You can read more about what the challenge is HERE)
We went grocery shopping today and filled our cart with lot’s of yummy vegetables. One of the people who has inspired us to make this change is Dr. Joel Fuhrman. He has a saying that we LOVE: “The more you eat green the sooner you’re lean.” With that in mind we purchased chard, kale, beet greens, spinach, bok choy, and other yummy good stuff! Dr. Fuhrman encourages the intake of legumes, beans, nuts and seeds and lot’s of veggies.
We really like his model and have decided to base our challenge loosely around it, also incorporating the Do’s from The Word of Wisdom such as eating whole grains in abundance.
Dr. Fuhrman also has some great recipes. We love that he suggests that this way of eating becomes a lifestyle rather than a diet. He has had a ton of success and we encourage you to read more if you are interested HERE.
