This is a super yummy recipe and easy to make. We like to cook up a whole bunch and freeze them or you can make just enough for breakfast. Either way they taste great!

Make Ahead Maple Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 2 tsp. dried sage
  • ¾ tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • cayenne to taste (optional)

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix very well. Make into patties and put on a baking sheet. Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes then flip patties over and continue to cook until cooked through (about another 10 minutes).

We like to make a lot up at one time and then freeze them for a quick breakfast idea. You can also fry it like ground beef in a fry pan and freeze to use crumbled in an omelet.
