Everyone loves a good veggie tray. They are fast and easy to throw together as well as being a great way to get some good nutrition. We love good old fashioned dips like our Easy Peasy Ranch Dip or our Easy Peasy Hummus however sometimes it’s nice to switch it up now and then. This Dairy Free Ranch Dip is amazing! In many ways we actually like it better than the kind with dairy! Something about the nutritional yeast seems to enhance the flavor of all the yummy veggies.
Dairy Free Ranch Dip
- 2 cups nuts and or seeds of your choice (we used sunflower seeds, cashews and macadamia nuts)
- Water for soaking
- 2 Tbs. nutritional yeast
- 2 Tbs. dry dill
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbs. minced onion
- 1tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. onion powder
- ¼ tsp. garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp. black pepper
Cover nuts in water and soak for at least 7 hour to soften. Drain and rinse. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or a high power blender. Serve with veggies for a veggie tray or as a salad dressing. It’s a bit thick for salad dressing but tastes amazing!
