Have you ever had overcooked, under-flavored, mushy green beans? For quite a while this is how ours turned out almost every time. The truth is we just didn’t know the secret to cooking them. Now that we’ve learned the secret, green beans are a treat at our house! We even have a friend who says she doesn’t like green beans much anywhere but here.
We first learned the secret to perfect green beans from TLC’s Take Home Chef (Season 1 or Season 2). Chef Curtis Stone changed our life one day! Now we want to help change yours. Prepared this way, standard okay-ish green beans turn into an elegant, delicious dish. Perfect for a fancy Valentines Day dinner or alongside some Easy Peasy Apricot Chicken or Spicy Chicken Pasta.

Quick and Fancy Green Beans
Remember to keep your ingredients organic for optimum nutrition!
Steam your green beans just enough to get them tender. Remove from heat and pour off water. Place green beans, butter, salt, and pepper back into the pan (or into a fry pan). Fry until they reach the desired tenderness or until lightly browned. Remove from heat and serve.
