DIY Veggie Bouillon Powder. Love that is has nutritional yeast. Finally bouillon without bad ingredients!

After years of looking for Bouillon that doesn’t have MSG and other bad ingredients we decided to just make our own. After some trial and error we have a recipe that is simply perfect. You can use it in any recipe that you would use a Bouillon cube. It has wonderful flavor with no bad ingredients. In fact it has at least one really good one. Nutritional Yeast.

Just a few of the reported health benefits of Nutritional Yeast are that it contains B12 along with other B vitamins, iron, protein, fiber, magnesium, zinc, it is low glycemic, helps blood sugar levels, helps with stress, boosts energy, helps with proper brain function and of course it tastes amazing! Many vegans use it as a cheese substitute. However you don’t have to be vegan to enjoy it.

Ingredients

2 cups nutritional yeast
¼ cup Real Salt
2 Tbs. parsley
1 Tbs. turmeric
1 Tbs. minced onion
1 Tbs. basil
1 Tbs. dried celery
1 Tbs. marjoram
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. rubbed sage
1 tsp. thyme

Directions

Put all ingredients in a high powered blender (a Vitamix or Blendtech) and process until fine. Store in a mason jar. Use anywhere you would a bouillon cube. It takes about 1 tablespoon in place of a cube.
