It’s time for some healthy finger food! This sticky, sweet, delicious bread is perfect for game day, brunch, snack time or dessert. We are huge fans of healthy treats at our house and this recipe is one of the best. Not only does it only call for natural sugars but it is also free of artificial ingredients and full of the kind that help promote health.
Among other things, Whole Wheat can support heart health, prevent type 2 diabetes, support weight control and prevent cancer. (source) We use our Easy Peasy Whole Wheat Bread as the base for this recipe and it makes it absolutely divine!
Cinnamon contains both fiber and calcium with can protect against heart disease and help with colon health. Just the scent of cinnamon alone can boost brain function. It’s also anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. (source)

Healthy Whole Wheat Monkey Bread
Remember to keep your ingredients organic for optimum nutrition!
Melt butter and whisk in cinnamon, honey, and maple syrup. Mix until well combined. Roll into walnut sized balls and layer half the dough into a bunt pan. Pour ½ of the cinnamon syrup over this layer. Roll remaining dough into balls and place on top. Pour remaining syrup on top. Bake at 350º until golden brown on top for about 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool slightly and invert onto a serving platter.
