Grilled Chicken Pesto Wrap – A delicious summer recipe that is a powerhouse of nutrition!

Summer is practically here and it’s time to break out the grill! Don’t you just love the ease of grilling things up outside? It really helps keep the heat out of the house as well. The options are pretty much endless as to what you can cook up. Grilled Zucchini, Spicy Veggie Kabobs and even a Chicken Pesto Wrap!

What is more divinely delicious than pesto?! It also happens to be very, very good for you. This whole wrap is pretty much a powerhouse of nutrition.

Basil is anti-inflammatory, is heart healthy, is anti-bacterial and is a great source of magnesium, copper, calcium, iron, vitamin A, C, and K.

Garlic is also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial and has anti-cancer properties.

Sunflower Seeds are calming do to their magnesium content. Magnesium also aids bone health, can lower blood pressure and can reduce the risk of heart attacks or a stroke.

Walnuts are also good for cardiovascular health, are anti-inflammatory, aid in weight loss and contain omega-3 fatty acids.

Whole Wheat has amazing benefits such as aiding digestion, helping weight control, lowering chronic inflammation, helping to keep blood sugar levels steady and warding off mental health issues like Alzheimer’s.

Olive Oil is good for digestive health, can help with bone health, can help improve cognitive function and is anti-inflammatory.

Add this with a delicious, fresh tomato and some pastured raised, organic chicken and you have a healthy meal that will leave you craving more!
